Sermon text: Mark 14:22-25
Sermon outline: (1.) Jesus’ sacrifice is the means by which God binds sinners to
himself and brings them deliverance from bondage to sin.
(2.) Taking the bread and drinking the cup symbolizes Jesus as Savior and Lord.
(3.) As we are seated with Christ in the heavenly places by faith, the
Lord’s Supper offers us a glimpse at our future feast with Christ, the
Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

is the Lord’s Supper? The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament, wherein, by
giving and receiving bread and wine according to Christ’s appointment,
his death is showed forth; and the worthy receivers are, not after a
corporeal and carnal manner, but by faith, made partakers of his body
and blood, with all his benefits, to their spiritual nourishment, and
growth in grace.
